2022 Rut Season

Rain storm today, bucks cruising for the first time today.

Raining past 24 hours, sun will be out later this morning. Some evidence of rut activity:

Saturday November 5th:

Morning sit after rainstorm passed. One doe at South Blind. Warm temps.

Sunday November 6th:

Evening, bucks starting to move.

Tuesday November 8th:

Still warm weather, sire visit from biologists today. Evening sit at West Bottoms with SE wind. No game. Daylight buck traffic at pond camera today.

Thursday November 10th:

Put fresh batteries in east and west bottoms cameras. Set a new camera west of the pond, hoping to see a shooter travel through. Put out some corn. Friday November 11th:

Deer moving on the corn, north wind 24deg this morning. Clear skies. No sit this morning. Maybe evening at west bottoms.

Sunday November 12th:

Bucks on the move. Cold frosty morning.

Tuesday November 15th:

Good deer movement last night, clear and cold mid 20s. Put out more corn afternoon.

Wednesday November 16th:

Sat in east bottom stand, 3:30 an 8 point came in on the north side of the creek. Smelled me. Packed up at 5:00. Wind was wrong.

Morning sit, 30 degrees calm. Small buck showed up twice. Came in from east at 7. made a big loop came back by at 7:45.

Tuesday November 29th:

Morning sit: 55 degrees wind from s west at 15. Doe came in from sw at 7:15, then back with 2 fawns. Saw me in the blind and spooked.
